Columbia Tank

Construction of the new Columbia water tower on South Boone Road is nearly complete. The new tank is scheduled to be activated the first week of October. The tank was built for two main reasons. First, more water storage in the area was needed. The new tank can store 1,000,000 gallons of water. The combined capacity of the two existing tanks is 500,000 gallons of water. Second, some areas of Columbia Township had less than ideal water pressure. The new water tower will increase the water pressure in the whole area by approximately 20 PSI (pounds per square inch). RLCWA continues to recommend that you have a properly working pressure regulating valve on your plumbing system. Please be reminded, the water service line that extends from the water meter vault to your home is your responsibility to maintain. The map shows the areas that will experience the increased water pressure. You may call RLCWA during regular business hours at (440) 355-5121 or 800-842-1339 with any questions.
